Aircraft Spins Wildly into Palm Fronds at Well-Known California Coast
A helicopter hovering near a well-attended southern California beach abruptly commenced twirling wildly, ultimately dropping height and smashing into a cluster of palm groves as beachgoers watched.
Videos uploaded on the internet show the chopper beginning to twirl near Huntington Beach then descending towards the border of the beach, where it ends up lodged between palm groves and a staircase near the Pacific Coast highway.
Emergency Response Update
Local firefighters stated five individuals were rushed to the hospital comprising a pair who were in the helicopter and were “rescued from the debris” after the crash on Saturday.
Three people on the pavement were injured. Information on their injuries were not immediately available.
The cause of the crash was still under investigation.

Authorities mentioned the helicopter was connected to an annual “Cars with Copters” charity gathering scheduled for the following day.
