The country's power facilities have come under increased attacks in the past few days

During the night, Moscow's aerial assaults have resulted in blackouts in extensive areas of Ukraine's capital, the Ukrainian capital.

A number of civilians were injured while residents in the city's east were left without electricity and dealt with disruption to drinking water, per reports from municipal leaders.

Authorities reported that 450 drones and over thirty missiles targeted the country's power systems, characterizing such attacks as "strategic and deliberate" and against "essential services" as the weather cools.

Energy officials said Moscow was "inflicting a massive strike" and maintenance teams were working to repair systems.

A wave of strikes struck electrical systems and apartment buildings in Kyiv.

Several of the people wounded in the attacks on the capital have been taken to hospital, per statements from local officials.
